See All ReviewsVery good breakfast tacos. I've also had the taco tapatillos they are very good. Sometimes it is packed so service is a little slow for refills but food is very good and fast.
I have loved Lucero but today I was very disappointed! I called my order at 7:30 to make sure it was almost ready when I arrived . I arrived at 7:40 and went to drive thru . They charged me and said it’s coming … waited another 10 min and nothing . I called while I waited at window at drive thru and said I have been waiting in drive thru and had been waiting and they said they are packing it up … waited another 10 minutes - -(now it is 8:00!!!!! ) I said I need to go to work - I have waited for 25 minutes- then she said they had an Eagle pass bus so they were busy …. I said well I ordered three tacos and have waited for 25 min at drive thru She said it’s being packed up already Waited 5 minutes more and nothing !! I had to leave to go to work - I left with no tacos but they did charge me right away so I was out that ! Very unprofessional Gracie
I spent hours looking for a restaurant in Del Rio that served real tapatíos, the rolled corn tortillas filled with shredded brisket or beef, fried crisp, and topped with onions, tomatoes, cabbage, and that creamy Mexican-style sauce. Lucero’s absolutely nailed it. It tasted like something straight out of Jalisco. They also serve Mexican beers and micheladas, which was exactly what I was hoping for. But the real standout was their Mexican shrimp cocktail. The broth was incredible, unlike anything I’ve ever had before. I even asked for the recipe, but the servers said it was a secret! If you’re in Del Rio and want true Mexican food, skip the chains and head to Lucero’s Mexican Restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.
